Linnea Quigley's Horror Workout (1989)

Who doesn't like scream queen Linnea Quigley?

The video opens with Linnea taking a long shower and she pays extra attention to making sure her entire body is soaped up and cleaned off.

From there the video moves to a number of set pieces with Linnea exercising. The first has Linnea dressed skimpily while working out in front of a fireplace. The next features Linnea jogging through a cemetery where the dead come to life and follow her home. Linnea chastises the zombies (the zombie make-up is very well done) for being out of shape and conjoles them into joining her and exercising by the pool in the back yard. Lastly is a slumber party with her girlfriends and everyone wears lingerie while exercising in the living room.

To pad out the running time and perform a bit of self promotion, clips from Linnea's films, such as CREEPOZOIDS, VICE ACADEMY and SORORITY BABES IN THE SLIME BOWL O RAMA are shown. There's a bit of humour as Linnea cracks wise (often reminding me of Elvira Mistress of the Dark) and the last segment has a Ronald Reagan mask wearing killer stalking the women.

Even at only sixty minutes, the video is far too long. It can't be used as a workout video (there's no instruction and at times is difficult to follow the movements) which leaves T&A and humour to keep the viewer interested. I admit I ogled Linnea for a bit but then found myself fast forwarding through yet another exercise routine. The segment in front of the fireplace allows Linnea to show off her comedic side more than any other segment and I wish the film makers continued with Linnea providing corny jokes as she looks and sounds like she had a lot of fun doing it.
