Stalled (2013)
Dir: Christian James
W.C.(played by script writer Dan Palmer and the character name gives you an idea of the level of humour present) is a slacker / loser attending, poorly, to his janitorial duties in the women's loo during a Christmas party on the eve of the holiday (what kind of sadistic corporation throws a work party on Christmas Eve?!?). Stealing into a stall so he can remain undetected while two drunken female party goers lez off by the bathroom sinks, his dim witted mind registers that something is amiss when the one partier ravenously feeds on the flesh of the other. The partially eaten woman shambles back to life and more of the undead find their way into the women's bathroom. The zombie apocalypse is on and W.C. is stuck in a stall.
I was a bit leery of watching a micro budget film about a janitor stuck in a bathroom stall while the undead rise, and this isn't much of a compliment, but it is better than I thought it would be. Inspired by comedic zombie films such as SHAUN OF THE DEAD, it misses the mark set by the classic by a very wide margin. But there's enough meat that it kept my interest and does provide a bit of drama and comedy along the way.
